The Rondium by Harvia is a deluxe luxury sauna. The modern blending of materials, matched with the rounded double doors creates a very inviting effect. It also has a very powerful and efficient heating system, and we particularly loved the multi level seating arrangement. This is possible in part because the sauna is so large and can fit 6 people. While this sauna outperforms most of the other saunas on the market, it's price tag and size are prohibitive for the average sauna user, especially if it their first sauna. With a price tag of $18,519; however, this may be out of range for anything other than businesses. We think that for the price you can find better saunas out there, especially ones that prioritize medical benefits over appearance.

TheraSauna Face-To-Face

We loved the unique design of the Face-To-Face Infrared Health Sauna. It has a face-to-face seating arrangement that can fit up to 4 people. One important part of saunas, that is often neglected is the social aspect, which is very important to cultures where saunas are very prevalent, like the Finnish. Unfortunately, it's design also leads to its biggest shortcoming. The way the heating is set up in the sauna makes it so that the heat inside is not evenly distributed to all the seats. Since even heat distribution is important to gain the medical benefits from a sauna this is disappointing. We commend their innovation, but we think there are more reliable products out there.

Alta Sauna Series

The Alta Sauna Series by Amerec is a beautiful sauna with a curved frontal design, complete with full glass doors. The inside is more traditional and comes equipped with multiple shelves to put your belongings on the outside of the sauna. We would love more saunas to include tiny extra features like this because it shows they are actually thinking about what sauna users would need and want. Despite being a beautiful sauna, this sauna has two major drawbacks. The first is that it does not have the same array of medical benefits as the other saunas on our list. This may be in part because of the giant glass doors. While glass doors look very stylish, they often create problems with heat retention and and insulation, which reduces the healing power of the sauna.
